Sisterfriends,

“Learn something new every day.” For the most part, I have been intentional with that motto. I’m learning to be actively grateful every day. I’m learning that it brings contentment. What are some of the things I have learned to be grateful for? Peace, Health, Joy, a Deathless Dream, an Unrelenting Vision, Family, Hard times. Grace.

I am grateful for peace in all its forms, meaning, the knowledge of having unobstructed access to peace brings about peace. Peace in making hard, heartbreaking but right decisions. A peace that comes from being still in spirit. A peace that comes from operating in and emanating pure love.

I’m grateful for a healthy mind, body, and spirit. I am grateful for the ability to wake up and most times take for granted that I have a sound mind and memory, and that I can easily jump out of bed to perform everyday activities with ease. I am grateful for healthy, edifying and optimistic relationships that feed my spirit.

I am grateful for a deathless dream, unrelenting vision and hard times. I believe these three feed off each other. They coexist. No matter how hard it gets, my dreams will not die. I liken hard times to wood for the fire. I am grateful for what hard times reveal in and to me. I am grateful that my unrelenting vision keeps me mindful of my purpose and gratitude for life.

I am grateful for my family. I am grateful for their fight. I am grateful for them not allowing the dream to die with well-meaning swift kicks in the arse or early morning sass phone calls. I am grateful for their love language.

I am grateful for Grace because it illuminates all the above. Heart joy springs forth from it. Gratefulness oozes and overflows because of it. Confidence and strength live in it. I am learning to acknowledge daily graces for gratefulness. What new tings are you intentionally learning and being grateful every day?
