the power to love

Sisterfriends,

Ahhhh, February, the month of love and Black History. What good does not come from love? The relationships we cherish the most are rooted in love. The correction we receive comes from love. Being uncomfortable, stretching, growing, being prepared to operate successfully in your purpose originates in love. We will never be able to get away from love, and why would we ever want to?

Every day we experience loveless actions and speech. Thankfully, love inserts itself sometimes in the smallest, seemingly the most insignificant ways. But, if we take the time to acknowledge that courtesy, smile, compliment or discipline, it gives you what you need to keep going. Love has the ability to penetrate anything it comes in contact with. What’s so amazing is that we all were created by it and have ownership of it! We get to choose to spread love, as well as, receive love. We have the power to quell the hate with the smallest of decisions.

If anything, Black History continually teaches us the power of love and its overwhelming ability to conquer hate. Let’s take the small steps and make those daily decisions, to owning our power to love. Let us reference Black her/history for the remaining months as one of the many guideposts to commit to operating in love.

It really isn’t about competition, it is all collaboration.
